| Q : | Where did "Halcyon + On + On" get its name? |
| A : |
Paul wasnt 100 percent sure where he got the name from until i mentioned the English TV advertisement that used the phrase "Ariston and on and on and on". He believes that this is main reason they called it Halcyon + on + on. |

| Q : | Where did the booklet art on Orbital 2 come from? |
| A : |
The record company used to send postcards out with release info/live dates etc. At the bottom of the postcards used to be a section requesting the receiver to "fill in the space and send it to....". A lot of people sketched pictures and other interesting things. Paul and Phil decided to use some of these for the inlay. |

| Q : | Can
i buy back issues ? |
| A : |
Unfortunately there is only Issue 3 onwards available. This was due to a disk crash where all the source was lost. Issue 1 and Issue 2.1/2.2 are gone forever(stop press...issue 2.1/2.2 have been found elsewhere...more on that as it happens). If you wish to buy back issues then please email me first for availability information. The price will be same as the current issue (check here for prices) |

| Q : | Why are they called ORBITAL ? |
| A : |
The name ORBITAL was taken from the busy ringroad moterway that is situated around London. The road which is currently called M25 is also known as the London Orbital. |

| Q : | What is the "Blue Illusion" track? There is a song called "Blue Illusion" by a group called Orbital. Is it the SAME Orbital as in Paul and Phil Hartnoll. |
| A : |
No ... its definatly not an ORBITAL release and Phil and Paul never wrote it. Someone else is using the Orbital name it appears. Ive listened to the track and if i remember correctly it was very upbeat. |

| Q : | What is the story behind "Dwr Budr" ? |
| A : |
There was a massive oil tanker that crashed into the rocks off the Welsh coast (Wales) due to bad weather. As the ship was slowly ripped apart, tons of oil leaked into the sea. Birds and many other animals/wildlife died due to the oil spill. When Paul/Phil wrote the track they were inspired by the scenes and thought that one track sounded like the evil pollution that spread itself across the Welsh coast. |

| Q : | Who
was The Girl With The Sun In Her Head ? |
| A : |
This track was written for Sally Harding who sadly passed away on December 10th 1995. Sally was Volume's most popular and creative photographer. Her photographic career started with an Orbital session for Volume Three in March 1992 and she became a regular contributor, specialising on the electronic side (photographing half the artists for the Trance Europe Express series). Demand grew for her talent - she was comissioned by more labels and had started to freelance for Melody Maker. Like the people she photographed, she was a rising star of the times, destined to be synonymous with the 90s. A compilation CD was released called "Sally's Photographic Memory". There is a tribute page on the Loopz site - click here to view it. |

| Q : | When did you start making the Loopz zine (paper and internet). Why didyou start? |
| A : |
(10/10/98) I decided on constructing the website to spread up-to-date News for Orbital. The official site (Rise) was terrible for News updates. BBS mailing was the only communcation i was actively doing prior to the website , i had to make the jump and get the name Orbital on everyones lips. The Paper zine was created as another avenue to spread the Orbital news...but i was also able to offer the service of fan feedback directly to Orbital. As for the start date...i am guessing at about late 1995 for the website. It was based in Hong Kong and i had only 100K to play with. The idea of the paper zine and its first issue was around the In Sides tour...May 1995. |

| Q : |
What is your favourite album / ep / single? Why? Which of Orbital's cds do you consider the best?? |
| A : |
(10/10/98) A very very hard question to answer. Each album has its unique highlights for me. I think i would say the latest sound of Orbital appeals to me - In Sides has always took a lot of my time up. But my first Orbital album - Green Album - would also be a joint favourite. (10/10/98) Singles/Eps - Again , there is so many to choose from and so many that i adore. "Choice" was one of the first Orbital tracks to really hit home, "Raddicio Ep" i also adored not so much for "Halcyon" but "Sunday" and "The Naked and the Dead". I loved the "III EP" - "LC1" was played to death that year. I also think that the "Satan Live Eps" were an absolute must for anyone who wants an example of live Orbital. You will never get the FULL live experience from them...but go and play "Impact" from the "Satan Live Eps" Play it very very LOUD. Excellent. |
